Mac OS X has had the facility to sync personal data between Mac computers. This was improved with the latest operating system so you can backup your bookmarks online, and then sync them with another computer so they both share the same bookmarks.
Windows has the same function through Google's Browser Sync, which is now available for the popular Mozilla Firefox web browser.
This tool will enable you to add an extension to Firefox to backup your bookmarks, passwords, web browsing history (all can be disabled) to your Google account.
You can then install the same extension into another copy of Firefox elsewhere, and your Google account will merge your stored bookmarks (and passwords, web history and more, if selected) to Firefox.
You'll need a Google account to store your bookmarks online, and you'll be required to select a Pin for your account to store data such as passwords.
You will also need to agree to Google's privacy terms and conditions to install this extension, so the download link will link directly to this page.
