The MP3 player market is rather crowded at the moment, but it hasn't stopped BenQ from releasing its Joybee 150. About half the size of a cassette tape, it's bigger than most players of this storage capacity.
Housing 256Mb of memory it can hold around 50 MP3 or WMA music files.
The screen can display lots of information, which makes selecting tracks easy. The interface is fairly straightforward and the quick start guide gets you familiarised with the controls.
We were very impressed with the sound quality, which is top notch, provided you plug in a decent pair of headphones.
BenQ provides a copy of QMusic 2, which is used to manage all your digital music. This includes ripping MP3s from CDs and transferring them to the Joybee.
Unfortunately, transferring files is the major downfall of this product, as it only supports standard USB and not its faster USB 2 relation. This makes shifting music to and from the player slow.
That said, for £160 the Joybee is good value for money and worth a look if you don't mind slow transfer speeds.
